Smoky River Regional Economic Development
The Smoky River Regional Economic Development board was established to help strengthen the economy of the region. Their mandate is as follows:
a) To develop and implement an Economic development Action Plan for the Smoky River Region
b) To promote existing resources and encourage new commercial and industrial development
c) To assist existing commercial and industrial businesses with proposed expansion or diversification projects
d) To develop marketing tools for the attraction of new economic ventures and promotion of existing programs and services

Smoky RIver Tourist Association
Smoky RIver Tourist Association - also known as Tourisme Smoky River Tourism was registered as a society instablished in 1995. The Association works with the five municipalities (Village of Donnelly, Village of Girouxville, Town of Faher, Town of McLennan and the M.D. of Smoky RIver #130) to promote the region in all aspects of tourism services.
Membership to the association is made up of the municipalities, businesses and individual members from across the region and who have an interest in travel and tourism services.
The Association operates the regional Visitor Information Centre and hires staff during the summer months. Montly meetings are held each month on the first Wednesday of the month.
